Board of Directors

Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. is governed by its National Board of Directors. The Board consists of six elected directors, all of alumnae sisters, who serve a two-year term. They super vise all business done for the sorority and serve as official spokeswomen for the entity across the nation.

Cynthia Montes

Cynthia Montes is a 2005 Texas Christian University Alumna. Received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is currently pursuing a Masters in Child Life Counseling. She currently serves as an Academic Advisor/Counselor for the Student Support Services/TRiO Programs at TCU. As an alumna, Cynthia has stayed consistently involved with the Señoritas of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. by serving as the Associate Director on the National Board of Directors for three years, as the Beta Chapter Alumna Advisor, and now currently as the Executive Director. Cynthia states, "Our community is what we make of it and SLA strives diligently to always make it better. This is why dedication to this sisterhood is so important, it's greater than any one person."

Joanna Bernal

Joanna is a 2008 TCU alumna. Received a Bachelor of Science in Advertising & Public Relations with a minor in the Psychology of Leadership. Joanna has served previously on the board as Director of Public Relations and an undergraduate representative. She has also assisted with the expansion committee that recently crossed the newest colony at the University of Texas in 2010.  She is currently a videographer at Lone Star Park and AVID tutor for FWISD while in the process of getting teacher certification to teach high school math.  In her spare time she is learning to play guitar, and being an advocate for equal rights for the LGBTQA community.

Jody Loudermillk

Jody Loudermilk is a 2009 University of Texas San Antonio alumna; she received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Masters in Accounting. Jody works full time as a Financial Analyst for a Mutual Funds Company. Jody was past treasurer of the Epsilon chapter. As Director of Finance, she strives to help the sorority expand and continue to educate women on the cultures and traditions all señoritas hold so close.

Cristina Ramos

Cristina Ramos is a TCU alumna. While at TCU she earned her bachelor's degree in business administration. After TCU she went on to receive her master's degree is public administration at Rutgers University. Cristina has previously served on the board as Director of Expansion. She currently resides in Virginia, working as an Educational Adviser at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Her goals for her time as Director of Alumnae Relations include laying the ground work for more sophisticated alumnae networks by solidifying an alumnae database and creating opportunities for alums to reconnect. Additionally, she is focusing on creating the processes necessary for undergrads to have greater mentoring opportunities from alumnae. She is currently doing this with the help of the board as well as very generous sisters who are volunteering their time and efforts for the alumnae gatherings. If you are a sister and would like to host a gathering, she is happy to hear from you!

Diana Parada

Diana Parada is a 2010 Texas Woman’s University alumna. She received a Bachelors of Science in Health Studies with a concentration in Community Health Education and is currently pursuing a Masters in Health Studies with a concentration in Higher Education. Diana currently works at Girls Incorporated of Metropolitan Dallas as a Teen Program Facilitator. Diana has served as past president, chapter liaison, and treasurer of the Alpha chapter and served as an undergraduate representative; Diana is the current Alpha chapter Alumna Advisor. As Director of Public Relations, she strives to get the word out to local communities and the rest of the nation about the wonderful things Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority Inc has to offer young woman.

Iris Reyes

Iris is a 2008 TCU alumna. She received a Bachelors of Science in Bilingual Education. Iris is currently a 1st grade teacher for White Settle ISD. Iris has served on the board as Director of Expansion the last 3 years. Iris states, "SLA has grown so much in the past few years. As Director of Expansion, I envision bringing the spirit of SLA and unique aspects of our sisterhood to prospective members throughout the country."
